On December 4, 2016, Ms. Leah D. Willis, MBA, CEO and Artistic Director of Leah Willis Dance Arts, had the honor of representing LWDA on the MOLAA Sculpture Garden Stage! It was an exciting event as The Museum of Latin American Art celebrates its 20th year this year. The Craft & Beyond Festival was a new, and eclectic mix of revitalization, inspiration and dedication. Ms. Willis was invited by the MOLAA's Education Coordinatior, Nalini Elias, and together they collaborated on presenting the professionalism, artistry, history and excitement of Dance to the MOLAA. LWDA Begins After School Performing Arts Program at Roosevelt Elementary School

October 8, 2012 marks the first official dance program day that LWDA will be teaching to the elementary school sector. Roosevelt Elementary School in Long Beach, CA is the first of the K-5 age range to receive the LWDA program. the students, staff, and Principal are very excited to have LWDA on their campus, and we could not be more excited and humbled to be asked to be a part. On Wednesday, September 19, 2012 Ms. Willis, accompanied by local Long Beach, CA Break Dance Crew The Style Squad Kings, gave a special presentation to 3rd-5th grade students. This is the age range that the program will be offered to. All grades had a wonderful time, and LWDA was received well. We look forward to a great year! Stay tuned for the results of the program year.
